Dear Editor: The City of North Vancouver council decided this week to proceed with scrapping the stern of the Flamborough Head. Only two councillors, Pam Bookham and Don Bell, voted against the recommendation put forward by city staff.

Dear Editor: Kudos to Couns. MacKay-Dunn and Heywood for introducing a motion to study amalgamation. I was born at Lions Gate Hospital and have been a lifetime North Shore resident.

Dear Editor : My property is on Lynn valley Road opposite the mall. I would like to express my serious objections to this development. I am a long term resident of Lynn valley and have watched it become more and more congested over the years.

Politicians running for local election this year will likely be signing on for four years - instead of three - if they win their race this time. B.C. is going ahead with changes this year that will increase the terms of councils and school boards.

Dear Editor: As irony would have it, I found Mr. Passmore's history lesson of the ship built at the foot of Lonsdale to be, well, riveting. Whether in spite of, or because of my time as a naval reserve officer, I can't say.

The ship's bell has rung for the stern of the Flamborough, now that city council has decided it's not worth spending another $2.4 million to keep it.

Dear Editor: So Mayor Richard Walton thinks that a new bus terminal, a third SeaBus and more buses for North Vancouver are urgent priorities and that the main problem is finding funding for them? That is an outrageous statement.

Dear Editor : Watching the presentation of the waterfront vision (Feb. 18) and comments from some councillors, it's obvious the campaign for the November election is underway. Mr.
