LETTER: Jones family express their thanks

Dear Editor: The family of Tim Jones would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the many who honoured Tim over the last few weeks.

Dear Editor:

The family of Tim Jones would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the many who honoured Tim over the last few weeks. We thank the whole community for the outpouring of condolences and to the many who attended the Centennial Theatre service on Jan.25. We are grateful for the heartfelt words from friends, colleagues and individuals across the country, as well as the many amazing articles, which captured the spirit of Tim so well.

We would also like to thank all the municipalities, agencies, organizations and individuals who came together to help remember Tim. Their respective members rallied to be there for us and remember their fallen comrade. We feel privileged to be surrounded by such amazing people. We would especially like to thank the North Shore Rescue and the BC Ambulance Service for being there for our family and their dedication to continue Tim's work. Truly a group that embodies the motto, "That Others May Live." We also need to thank the many people in the community who have supported our family with their acts of kindness, as well as those who have and continue to support North Shore Rescue through donations to the Tim Jones Legacy Fund. We cannot possibly thank everyone individually, which pains us greatly, but know we thank you all. Tim's legacy lives on in all of us as a community, and for that we are eternally grateful.

The Jones family
