Dear Editor:
As irony would have it, I found Mr. Passmore's history lesson of the ship built at the foot of Lonsdale to be, well, riveting. Whether in spite of, or because of my time as a naval reserve officer, I can't say. But having navigated plenty of military museums filled with relics all past their day and often out of context, I can say thanks but I'd rather not have to pay for the upkeep of an entire ship display. The Flamborough Head stern remains a unique, meaningful and visually spectacular artifact
