The rosy state of the B.C. government’s financial books is good news for the B.C. Liberals as they seek election, but it’s potentially even better news for the New Democratic Party.

It was a big game of chicken – and the mayors flinched. After a decade of resisting, the municipalities will start funding a sorely needed expansion of our transit system, in part, with higher property taxes.

Dear Editor: My 13-year-old daughter was hiking yesterday with a friend near Mosquito Creek/Baden Powell connector and fell approximately 15 feet. Apparently she was unconscious at first. Her friend yelled for help.

Dear Editor: I have a concern as a motorist and pedestrian over the nonchalant and irresponsible behaviour of many cyclists on our roads.
