Dear Editor:
My 13-year-old daughter was hiking yesterday with a friend near Mosquito Creek/Baden Powell connector and fell approximately 15 feet. Apparently she was unconscious at first. Her friend yelled for help.
Former Canuck Dave Babych deserves a big thank you as he carried my daughter out approximately 20 minutes on his back — she passed out again on his back and was then transported to emergency.
Christa is OK with head trauma and scratches although it could have been a lot worse. It’s a reminder how dangerous the trails can be.
