Dear Editor: Several months ago I was rushing to get to Lions Gate Hospital as I had been informed that my father had collapsed and was taken there via ambulance; by the look on the police officers’ faces, I knew it was very serious.

Dear editor: I am a renter in North Vancouver (East 12th Street, three-storey rental building) and am frustrated by the amount of second-hand smoke coming into my unit from other units and balconies.

As it increasingly looks like the federal government will approve the Kinder Morgan pipeline project, it will be interesting to see how the B.C. political parties react to the decision and how it will factor into next spring’s election outcome.

Canada’s electoral system is changing. Monkeying with the gears of our democracy is a daunting task but we’re all being asked to help shape our next round of ballots.

Dear Editor: Re: Residents Should Board First: Petition , Sept. 4 news story. I can sympathize with Ryan Medd and his fellow Langdalers that have to use B.C. Ferries out of necessity, but I can’t agree that they should get priority loading.
