FOUR former attorneys general of British Columbia have coauthored a letter asking Premier Christy Clark and Opposition leader Adrian Dix to endorse an end to marijuana prohibition.

Dear Editor: I am writing in response to your Feb. 8 editorial, Rush to Judgement, in which you referred to our decision in respect of the potential OCP change at Harbourside as "muddleheaded at best" and "downright duplicitous at worst.

Dear Editor: I was shocked to hear that someone at the District of North Vancouver approved the removal of the Floralynn Crescent neighbourhood basketball hoop with no verbal communication. This hoop was left by previous neighbours 15 years ago.

"At times I feel overwhelmed with the case load." Homeless outreach worker Geoff Bodnarek comments on the number of people who wind up on the North Shore, trying to escape gentrification and the dangers of the Downtown Eastside.

Dear Editor: When are we going to see the last of this wasteful spending and the using of trees to produce telephone books that end up in the landfill.

ANYONE who's ever paid a utility bill knows that letting out a lot of hot air is a bad thing. Which makes us wonder who's paying the bills for the premier these days.

Dear Editor: I am writing in response to your Feb. 3 editorial, Mixed Message. I agree with you that the "Metro paradigm of taxation without (direct) representation" should be changed to ensure the people are properly represented.

Dear Editor: As a recent Health Science graduate from Simon Fraser University and a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society, I am concerned about the risk of indoor tanning.

Dear Editor: There is growing interest in the possible amalgamation of the City and District of North Vancouver. City Mayor Darrell Mussatto has said he will not discuss it. An elected official has a responsibility far beyond self interest.
