As the old saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. That is, it seems, something we must now take literally.

Dear Editor: So it appears that the long-awaited Argyle replacement isn’t going to happen after all, despite new condo construction at Seylynn, Lynn Valley etc., which will add even more students to the catchment area.

Gentlemen of North Vancouver, we’ve got a problem. With Valentine’s Day one week away our city/district has just been named the second most romantic place in Canada by Amazon.ca.

The province is planning to pay engineers $250,000 to study the feasibility of building a bridge or highway to the Sunshine Coast.

Dear Editor: It is unfortunate that the funding model for the proposed museum did not work out.

It used to be a popular PR stunt among politicians to attempt living a week on a “welfare diet,” which was usually just a few dollars a day, to highlight the inadequacy of social assistance.

One of my very favourite places on earth is the Museum of London.

Dear Editor: Born and raised on the North Shore and having been a younger resident of Lower Lonsdale for the past 10 years, it’s been incredible watching and experiencing the rapid evolution of this neighbourhood first-hand.
