Dear Editor: I read your Jan. 13 story, Nurses Protest Hospital Staff Levels, and completely agree with the nurses and their very real concerns.

PRETTY much all of the recent pipeline debate has been about Enbridge's Northern Gateway Project as the National Energy Board's hearings are underway in Vancouver.

YOU will never hear a word of criticism from Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue volunteers against the federal government that grudgingly pays to gas their boats.

Dear Editor: I read the letter from Lin Rockwell in the Jan. 11 issue of the North Shore News, headlined Mob Protest Makes No Point, with great interest. I get it that this demonstration costs you money.

Dear Editor: I am very disappointed in our two elected councils of the City and District of North Vancouver.

Dear Editor: Regarding the letter you published Jan. 11 about the "Idle No More" mob, I have a different perspective on the event. I was there. I noticed that there was a growing crowd, mostly First Nations men and women.

THE Mount Seymour Parkway crash that sent a 70-year-old pedestrian to hospital this week was doubtless unintentional, small consolation though that may be.

Dear Editor: I would like to congratulate a remarkable group of individuals, associations and local merchants in Lynn Valley who worked alongside the Lynn Valley Community Association to create "Lynn Valley Christmas.

"If you can crack this thing, they're going to get everything about us." Privacy watchdog Vince Gogolek raises the alarm about the potential ramifications of a new medical ID card being introduced by the province that will incorporate the B.C.

Dear Editor: Mr. Leo Vanderbyl's reasoning in connection with the killings in Connecticut in his Dec. 28 letter to the editor, SSRIs Can Make Kids Killers, is far-fetched.
