Dear Editor: Well done, Trevor Lautens (My Ideal Is to Make Abortion Unthinkable, North Shore News, May 11.) Thank you for a perfect piece of journalism to precede the celebration of Mother's Day.

Dear Editor: On Sunday, April 29 a letter from a resident relayed a concern about the benefits to the North Shore of Seaspan being awarded a large federal ship building contract (Seaspan, Harbourside Benefits Questioned).

WE hope the 86 B.C. mayors caucusing in Penticton this week in the hopes of negotiating a new deal with senior governments on taxation revenue are successful in marshalling some compelling evidence for innovative solutions.

Dear Editor: Complaints about the quality of care at our hospitals are common; I want to add a positive account of my recent experience at Lions Gate Hospital emergency.

"We have opposed the bill because of its omnibus nature. We insist upon having a debate on the floor of the House of Commons on each section of the omnibus bill because this should not be one bill.
