I am a humble man, as the following political experience illustrates. Over the years my dogs have introduced me to thousands of people. Some members of the close-collared fraternity. Some just love dogs.

It’s a sight we’re all too familiar with: red brake lights as far as the eye can see, signalling an endless line of traffic gridlock turning one’s commute into a one-way ticket to slow-ville. Or anger-ville. Either way, it’s a bit much.

The resiliency and strength of the pact between the NDP and the B.C. Green party that allows the New Democrats to hold power will likely be sorely tested this fall, and it won’t be over political fundraising.

Ni hao . Dorood . Kamusta . Chances are greater than ever that if you live on the North Shore, those are the words you would use to greet someone in your mother tongue.

Dear Editor: Re: Labour Pains Hit North Shore Employers , July 30 Sunday Focus. Looks to me like we need to be more creative on living quarters and providing services near them. How about the old “rooming house” concept.
