I can’t believe I have reason to write these words, but it appears there is still some confusion in some people’s minds. So here goes: Nazis are the bad guys. White supremacy, the ideology that led Nazis to commit horrible atrocities, is bad.

Even among slave owners, Robert E. Lee distinguished himself with his cruelty. And even among confederate generals, his troops distinguished themselves with their viciousness. It’s easy (but not unfair) to malign Lee.

While the rest of the world is laughing themselves silly at the notion of Fidget Spinners and Donald Trump, we Canadians are busy mining real comedic gold with jokes of the Dad or Chuck Norris variety. Seriously.
