Dear Editor: Re: Businesses Bristle at B-Line Plan; Bus Lane Would Ruin Ambleside, Merchants Say , Dec. 7 front-page story. In a recent article, Ambleside merchant Nigel Malkin rages against priority bus lanes for TransLink.

The thorny issue of taxing carbon has split this country’s political leaders and has further pushed B.C. Premier John Horgan and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau into each other’s arms.

Dear Editor: Re: Businesses Bristle at B-Line Plan , Dec. 7 front-page story. It is not just West Vancouver businesses that are bristling at the B-Line plan.

Getting something new is wonderful. What’s terrible is owning something that’s new no longer. That’s when repair bills for leaks, chips, rust, dents, peeling paint, shifting foundations and corroding machinery have to be reckoned with.

Dear Editor: Re: Nice Things, Dec. 7 editorial viewpoint. The Ambleside Dundarave Business Improvement Association agrees that transit investments in West Vancouver are long overdue.

As you know, the Canucks are in a rebuild. Meanwhile, our Starbucks-sipping neighbours to the south are building from the ground up. It was made official this week: Seattle is getting a hockey team.
