Dear editor: Re: Subdivided We Fall , Nov. 6 editorial viewpoint.

Every autumn, to do our part in the cause of remembrance, we seek out veterans of the Second World War who will share their stories. And every year, it is becoming harder to find them.

When politicians do something smart and useful, we should praise them for it. At the very least, it may inspire them to do it again sometime.

The transit strike has resulted in some SeaBus sailing cancellations, though only some riders can attest to noticing any difference when it comes to their daily commutes.

Dear editor: Re: District of North Vancouver to pigeons: Shoo! , Nov. 1 news story. On the evening of Nov. 4, District of North Vancouver council approved a bylaw prohibiting the keeping of pigeons on private property in the DNV.

The stakes were so small, that from some angles, they were invisible. West Vancouver council was mulling an infill home , 1,500 square feet or so, tucked behind the 95-year-old Hewitt House on Radcliffe Avenue.

Don’t look now, but the NDP government is suddenly finding itself trying to put out all kinds of fires, both big and small ones.

Dear editor: Halloween in Edgemont Village in the past: Little kids made scary-excited by the dark, by not being able to see all their neighbours’ familiar houses clearly, joining with other kids in their neighborhood, forming shrieking happy gangs.

Dear editor: Re: When Did Letting Children Fight Our Climate Battles Become Acceptable? , Oct. 11 Mailbox. Letter-writer Kiernan Livingstone misses the point when he suggested that 70 per cent of all greenhouse gas emissions come from 100 companies.
