Dear Editor: On Sept. 27 my wife and I awaited the 232 Phibbs Exchange bus at Highland and Handsworth. We were taking a four-year-old to an activity class at Mickey McDougall gym in Upper Lonsdale.

My head is full of fight or flight today. Fight, as in war. This is the week we remember the thousands who died or lived broken, including many from the North Shore, so we can continue to occupy this paradise.

At many retailers, Christmas displays and merchandise hit the shelves while the Halloween ghosts and goblins were still haunting the aisles.

Dear Editor: I would be curious to find out if more of your readers like me would prefer we stuck to daylight saving (time) year round. I do not need it to be light at 3:30 a.m. (in June) as it would be without daylight saving.

Dear Editor: I wonder how many people who get a new job far from their current home, requiring long commutes, won’t move closer because of a huge property transfer tax? For those moving significantly closer to work, such a tax in most cases should be

Each year, the number of veterans in attendance at Remembrance Day ceremonies dwindles, particularly the ones from the Second World War and Korea. But we are heartened to see that the crowds who come out have only seemed to grow in recent years.

Dear Editor: This weekend, at the B.C. High School Cross Country Championships something special happened. On a horribly wet morning, a very special junior boys team from the North Shore pounded along the muddy and slippery course.

Dear Editor: Quite often our 87-year-old mother walks in the forest by our Blueridge home. Having recently lost our father, Mom is getting used to an existence without her lifelong love, and walking partner.

Dear Editor: Re: Ambleside Waterfront Concept Plan Unveiled , Nov. 1 news story. Look again at what you have at Ambleside – sit on the benches, talk to the people who walk there. They love it.
