Lynnmour Elementary student Berkem Duru, 9, grew his hair for two years before recently having it cut for charity. His family held a party at their Maplewood townhome on Jan. 21 and watched as a hairdresser clipped Duru’s 10-inch ponytail.

A new daily non-stop flight between Vancouver and Tofino has been added to Pacific Coastal Airlines’ spring schedule. The new flight starts April 3, though the spring schedule will begin March 4 and be in effect until June 3.

The following is a selection of volunteer opportunities from various community organizations, made available through Volunteer North Shore, a service of North Shore Community Resources Society.
