Seniors’ Information Volunteer Mature, patient volunteer with good verbal communication skills and good computer skills needed on Friday afternoons. Responsibilities include answering telephones, assisting walk-in clients by providing appropriate information and referrals. Training provided. It would be beneficial if volunteer has knowledge about the North Shore, some of the services available and is able to speak another language.
Addictions Recovery House Volunteer Seeking female volunteers to help out with weekend shifts. The volunteer is responsible to be there in case of an emergency, to observe the residents and report any concerns. It is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in the field of mental health and addictions and/or for someone who wishes to give back and provide support to women in recovery.
Volunteer Driver Volunteers are needed to take seniors who are unable to use public transit or Handy Dart and often have no family or friends to take them to medical appointments or Hub programs.
Thrift Store Volunteer Receive, sort and ticket items for this non-profit store. Sort and bag items that are being passed on to other non-profit agencies. Volunteer position does not include working in actual thrift store but preparing items for store.
Office Volunteer Volunteer will open and run the office independently from 1-4 p.m.; help people that have questions; talk about Deep Cove and the surrounding area to tourists.
