North Vancouver field hockey star Rachel Donohoe was one of eight Canadians named to the Pan American Elite Teams announced this week.

The Pan American Hockey Federation names their Elite Teams every two years to recognize the top players in Pan American competitions. This year’s teams were heavily influenced by play at the 2019 Pan American Games held this summer in Lima, Peru. The Canadian women and men both won silver at the Pan Am Games.

Donohoe is an Argyle Secondary grad with 88 senior national team caps since making her Team Canada debut in 2012.

Other Canadian players named to the Elite Teams include Sara McManus, Natalie Sourisseau, and Brienne Stairs on the women’s side and Gordon Johnston, Mark Pearson, Keegan Pereira and Scott Tupper on the men’s side.
