Dear Editor: After several recent stories in the North Shore News about illegal tree cutting in North and West Vancouver, it was refreshing to read your Aug.

Dear Editor: Let's think the pit bull-banning issue through first.

THE lying, blowhard politician is iconic in our culture. It's a ready-made, go-to stereotype that rarely holds up when you sit down and talk with any politician you try to apply it to. But that may be changing.
