West Vancouver - Dear Editor: Regarding NIMBYism Colours Cell Tower Opposition (Nov. 20, North Shore News): Sometimes the not-inmy-backyard reaction is well founded. We all have a right to safe and healthy lives.

The Liberals may be celebrating polling success in the four byelections held Monday, but so many disparate factors were at play that it's too soon to anoint Justin Trudeau as the party's saviour.

Dear Editor: Three cheers for George Pringle's proposal to amalgamate North Vancouver city and district. It's never been put to a referendum. If it was, I'm sure it would pass. Even when combined both would still be smaller than Vancouver or Surrey.

In this world of arithmetic-challenged senators and celebrity mayoral sinners, we should be proud of three North Shore politicians of exemplary character.

Fifty years later the life and death of John F. Kennedy continue to engage historians and conspiracy theorists alike - the guesstimates on the number of books on the topic run as high as 40,000.

To West Vancouver mayor and council: You frequently have the difficult task of making a decision for the best of the entire community in the face of localized opposition, balancing the greater good against the perceived impact on a few.
