Dear Editor: Re: WV Owners Chop Trees to Beat Bylaw , April 22 story. Bylaw be damned! Our West Vancouver council has just adopted a bylaw protecting West Vancouver trees over 75 centimetres in diameter. This is inviting disaster of the first order.

Pity poor Christy Clark, whose $200,000 salary as premier of the province isn’t adequate for her needs. So miniscule is the sum, she has to beef it up with about $50,000 she earns moonlighting as the chief attraction for her party.

Most workplaces have at least one person walking around like a tranquilized zombie, drooling on the photocopier and slowly bumping into unsuspecting co-workers. But enough about the Senate.

Premier Christy Clark’s annual salary of $192,000 has apparently left the former radio personality strapped for cash. Clark has made ends meet by supplementing her yearly wages with up to $50,000 in “car allowance.
