Dear Editor: I wish to express my disgust at the ongoing butchering of our natural beauty. I moved to Canada many decades ago to enjoy all that it had to offer.

For those who love the idea of proportional representation – and those who don’t – recent negotiations and compromises between the NDP and the Greens about what is and isn’t in the B.C.

Dear Editor : In mid-August, I received a notice stating that on Aug. 21-31, the District of North Vancouver would be doing construction work from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. adjacent to my home.

It’s a big-spending interim budget the NDP delivered to the legislature on Monday, with lots of new money coming for a variety of social services – education, mental health, poverty reduction and housing.

Several weeks ago, NDP house leader Mike Farnworth insisted to me that he was convinced his party was going to be able to cling to power longer than many – including those in that party – had speculated.

Dear Editor : On B.C. Day my friend and I spent a lovely afternoon at Ambleside Beach. When we were packing up I went to the ladies’ washroom and was appalled at the condition they were in.

Dear Editor : Re: A Traffic Fix May Come at Ballot Box , Aug. 23 Mailbox. Thank-you to Stanley Jackson for writing a straightforward letter that should be cut out and stuck on fridges throughout the North Shore.
