Dear Editor: The revised schedule for the 257 Horseshoe Bay Express buses certainly makes for a quicker trip between the ferry, Park Royal and downtown – provided that when on Georgia Street they don’t set down when outbound or pick up when inbound.

Dear Editor: Re: Don’t Make Your Trash Someone Else’s Problem , Aug. 17 Mailbox. Letter-writer Anne Lacourt is correct in lamenting the ever-increasing piles of eye-sore trash left in lanes and alleys by ignoramuses.

Dear Editor: I wonder if more people have written off camping in B.C., as I have. (I gave away my camper and all my camping stuff, lots of it ended up in the dump.

Great news everybody: none of the body parts found floating around Olympic venues belonged to actual Olympians! At least, we don’t think so.

Dear Editor: Having been born in the old North Vancouver Hospital, and living here all my life, I think it has come time to change the name of North Vancouver. Let’s get serious about this.

We never expected to use this editorial space to wax nostalgic about the environmental leadership of former premier Gordon Campbell, but he at least took the step of instituting a carbon tax.

Dear Editor: Thank you to the many Edgemont Village area residents for watching out for missing shih tzu Maddy, who was lost for eight days recently. We received many responses from concerned residents including three valuable phone calls.

Dear Editor: The government is currently conducting a public review of Canada Post. This is the moment for people to speak up about what we want from our postal service. We’ve had years of service cuts and increased prices.

Dear Editor: Re: Stifling SeaBus Ride Too Much For Some Riders , Aug. 5 news story. The old ferry system (1900-1958) that crossed the harbour from North Vancouver had outside decks you could go out on.
