Dear Editor:
Re: Don’t Make Your Trash Someone Else’s Problem, Aug. 17 Mailbox.
Letter-writer Anne Lacourt is correct in lamenting the ever-increasing piles of eye-sore trash left in lanes and alleys by ignoramuses. For years our annual visitors from Europe marvelled at how clean and well-kept North Vancouver’s streets were. But their tune has changed.
I’m sure North Shorites have their own stories of weird stuff they’ve seen discarded — my favourite (and most awful) is a car battery tossed into Hastings Creek, presumably leaking acid!
