On Thursday October 6th, the West Vancouver Highlanders opened their season at home as they hosted the Vancouver College Fighting Irish in junior AAA football league play.

On Saturday October 15th, Mens 1st Division rugby returned to North Vancouvers Klahanie Park as Burnaby Lake paid a call on Capilano RFC. Burnaby were undefeated and looking to stay that way. Capilano were 2-1 and 1 and were looking to climb.
