THE West Vancouver Rangers girls under-16 soccer team will lead a group of North Shore squads into provincial championship action at fields across the province this weekend.
The Rangers are the only North Shore team to make it to the A Cup championships running July 5-8 at MacArthur Island Park in Kamloops. The Rangers capped a successful regular season by defeating the Port Moody Storm to win the Coastal Cup in May.
North Shore teams taking part in provincial B Cup play include the North Shore Girls Adrenaline in under-17, the North Vancouver FC Fury in boys under-18 and the West Vancouver Spuraways in boys under-17. The B Cup championships will be held July 5-8 with Kelowna hosting the girls and Aldergrove hosting the boys.
