On the night of Wednesday February 27, West Vancouvers Sentinel Secondary was the setting for the final match up of the 2013 Howe Sound Senior Boys AAA Basketball Championship as the Sentinel Spartans hosted the Handsworth Royals.

Sentinel had finished first in both the regular season and the Round Robin portion of the tournament and the Royals would have to beat them twice to take the championship.
