According to a statement posted on the B.C. Soccer Association website, Sinnott, who passed away Aug. 4, was a well-known member of the provincial and national soccer communities. Holding a variety of roles over the years, including player, coach, referee and board member, Sinnott was involved in a number of soccer organizations, including the West Vancouver Soccer Club, North Shore Girls Soccer Club, North Shore Youth Soccer, Terrace Youth Soccer and the Canadian Soccer Association.
Known as the "governance guru," he had a strong impact on B.C. Soccer and most recently served as the association's first vice-president.
The celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Bubble at North Vancouver's Windsor secondary.
