Police arrest suspected firebug

NORTH Vancouver RCMP have arrested a man they say was responsible for a series of arsons early Thursday morning. Firefighters were called to seven small blazes along Westview Drive and Bewicke Avenue between 2: 45 and 4 a.m.

Missing man found dead

NORTH Vancouver RCMP have confirmed that a hiker who fell to his death in North Vancouver's backcountry Wednesday was 22-year-old German exchange student Jasper Houben. Houben had been reported missing on Monday.

WV looks to install car charging stations

ELECTRIC vehicles may soon have a place to power up in West Vancouver after council voted to apply for provincial funding to install charging stations at two of the municipality's community centres.
