TWO motorcycles were stolen on the same day from a residential parking lot in the 1800-block of Purcell Way in North Vancouver.
Cpl. Richard De Jong, a spokesman for the North Vancouver RCMP, said these thefts were more than likely related.
"We've have had other thefts in that area which is why I wanted to alert the public," said De Jong.
The first motorbike stolen is a red 2000 Honda, XR250 with a B.C. licence plate number, U14810. The second is a 2010 KTM 690, orange and black with a B.C. licence plate number, S78670.
A witness described a man tampering with the tire and bike locks. The suspect is described as having an average build, dark hair, having arm tattoos and possible driving a black or grey pickup truck.
"We are looking for any potential witnesses that may have seen anything or somebody trying to sell these bikes," said De Jong.
Anyone who knows about these thefts or the whereabouts of the motorbikes is asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311.
