RCMP seek m/cycle theft witnesses

TWO motorcycles were stolen on the same day from a residential parking lot in the 1800-block of Purcell Way in North Vancouver. Cpl. Richard De Jong, a spokesman for the North Vancouver RCMP, said these thefts were more than likely related.

"We've have had other thefts in that area which is why I wanted to alert the public," said De Jong.

The first motorbike stolen is a red 2000 Honda, XR250 with a B.C. licence plate number, U14810. The second is a 2010 KTM 690, orange and black with a B.C. licence plate number, S78670.

A witness described a man tampering with the tire and bike locks. The suspect is described as having an average build, dark hair, having arm tattoos and possible driving a black or grey pickup truck.

"We are looking for any potential witnesses that may have seen anything or somebody trying to sell these bikes," said De Jong.
