THE FOLLOWING is a selection of volunteer opportunities from various community organizations, made available through Volunteer North Shore, a service of North Shore Community Resources Society.

Ambleside Farmers' Market will run every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Oct. 28 in the parking lot behind the police station on Bellevue Avenue and 13th Street in West Vancouver.

Summer Artisan Craft Fairs: Local artisans and crafters will display and sell their handcrafted items Aug. 19, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Civic Plaza, 14th Street and Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver.

Saturday, August 18 Moveable Feast free youth workshop, Mason Jar Terrariums, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For nine- to 13-year-olds. Space is limited. Register at 604-297-4415 or email [email protected]. Food Swap and Pickling Demo, 2 to 4 p.m.
