Two upcoming flea markets are being presented on the North Shore next weekend, offering community members a variety of diverse wares to choose from.

The front section of Ernie the hedge creature was removed from the Lynn Valley Road boulevard by a district work crew today and transplanted in its new home nearby, at the entrance to Kirkstone Park.

Reader Lillian Salchner sent us photos earlier this week of a tree that appeared to have been chewed by a beaver. The tree was located beside the Mackay walking trail, about 100 metres north of the North Vancouver Tennis Centre.
