The front section of Ernie the hedge creature was removed from the Lynn Valley Road boulevard by a district work crew today and transplanted in its new home nearby, at the entrance to Kirkstone Park.
The District of North Vancouver tweeted a video about the move this afternoon (twitter.com/NVanDistrict).
The topiary critter was nicknamed Ernie by district gardeners after longtime former district councillor Ernie Crist, who lived nearby, and passed away in 2008.
