You can put up signs and make orders, but some rogues will always feel like the rules don’t apply to them.
Reader Ron Quinn sent in this photo he snapped on an early-morning walk in North Vancouver’s Maplewood Flats Conservation Area.
The Conservation Area, a popular spot for birders, was recently added to the list of local public spaces restricted due to COVID-19 concerns. The gates to the main parking lot at Maplewood Flats are now closed on weekends to discourage large groups from congregating.
Those restrictions, and this warning sign, seem to have done nothing to deter this deer friend though. At least the deer appears to be adhering to physical distance guidelines.
