CHICAGO (AP) — The depleted Texas Rangers lost Joc Pederson when he was hit by a pitch on Saturday, breaking his right hand. Leading off the fourth inning, Pederson was hit by an 87.5 mph cutter from White Sox right-hander Bryse Wilson.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Miami Marlins transferred catcher Rob Brantly to the 60-day injured list on Saturday. The 35-year-old Brantly was placed on the injured list on April 21 with a strained right lat.

CINCINNATI (AP) — Elly De La Cruz drove in four runs and the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Chicago Cubs 6-4 Saturday to end a four-game losing streak. Justin Turner and Carson Kelly homered as the Cubs had a three-game winning streak snapped.

ATLANTA (AP) — Padres right-hander Michael King was scratched from his scheduled start about 40 minutes before Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves. The Padres announced King would not pitch due to right shoulder stiffness.

ATLANTA (AP) — Ronald Acuña Jr. homered for the second straight game in his return from a nearly year-long absence due to a knee injury, leading the Atlanta Braves to a 7-1 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday.

HOUSTON (AP) — Christian Walker and Jeremy Peña had two hits apiece and the Houston Astros scored two runs in the first inning on errors by Seattle and held on for a 2-1 win over the Mariners on Saturday.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Oneil Cruz tripled home Isiah Kiner-Falefa with two outs in the seventh inning and the Pittsburgh Pirates edged the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 on Saturday.
