WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic Rep. Dwight Evans won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Pennsylvania on Tuesday. Evans, 70, was running for a fifth full term in his heavily Democratic district in Philadelphia.

Democratic Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester won the U.S. Senate contest in Delaware on Tuesday, defeating Republican Eric Hansen. Rochester has served as Delaware's lone representative in the U.S. House since 2017.

Democratic Rep. Andy Kim won New Jersey's Senate race over Republican hotelier Curtis Bashaw on Tuesday, succeeding Bob Menendez, who resigned this year after a federal bribery conviction.

Vice President Kamala Harris won Maryland and its 10 electoral votes on Tuesday. Maryland is a heavily Democratic state that is home to many federal workers next to the nation’s capital.

Former President Donald Trump won Alabama for the third consecutive election on Tuesday, adding nine electoral votes to the Republican's tally. Democrats have not won Alabama since 1976, when Jimmy Carter carried the state.

Republican Sen. Roger Wicker won reelection to a U.S. Senate seat representing Mississippi on Tuesday. Wicker defeated Democrat Ty Pinkins, an attorney. Wicker is an attorney and served in the state Senate of Mississippi before winning a U.S.

Former President Donald Trump won Mississippi on Tuesday, claiming the state's six electoral votes and continuing a long winning streak for Republicans. The last Democratic presidential nominee to win Mississippi was Jimmy Carter in 1976.

Republican Gov. Phil Scott on Tuesday won reelection to a fifth term leading the heavily Democratic state of Vermont.

Republican Brian Jack won election to a U.S. House seat representing Georgia on Tuesday. Jack, 36, returned to Georgia and ran for Congress after several years in Washington.

Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Georgia on Tuesday. A gun dealer, Clyde, 57, won a third term representing northeast Georgia's 9th District.
