Windsor Dukes set to battle in AA football quaterfinals

The Windsor Dukes senior football team will be playing take on the Vernon Panthers this evening in a provincial AA quarterfinal matchup at Greater Vernon Athletic Park.

The Windsor Dukes senior football team will be playing take on the Vernon Panthers this evening in a provincial AA quarterfinal matchup at Greater Vernon Athletic Park.

The Dukes earned their way into the quarterfinals with a 20-8 win over Nechako Valley Saturday at Masich Place Stadium in Prince George.

The Dukes will have their hands full with the Panthers today, the No. 1-ranked team in the province. Vernon 4-0 in regular season play to finish first in the Interior AA Conference. Windsor was third in the Western AA Conference with a 2-2 regular season record.

Kickoff today is at 6 p.m. in Vernon.

At the AAA level the Carson Graham Eagles saw their season come to an end over the weekend, losing 62-21 against the Kelowna Owls.
