Proceeds from the annual run go to Vancouver’s Streetfront, an alternative school program for vulnerable teens. The SHLF run set attendance and fundraising records last year, and has raised more than $320,000 for at-risk youth since its creation in honour of Handsworth grad Dr. Strachan Hartley, who passed away at age 30 in 2007.
