The Collingwood Cavaliers senior boys basketball team defeated the host squad in the championship final of the Britannia Bruins Classic tournament Saturday in Vancouver.

Collingwood’s Lochland Collings was named tournament MVP after the Cavaliers beat the Bruins 65-58 to take the title. Aleem Karmali and Tariq Alibhai were named to the first all-star team.

The Cavaliers won’t have to wait long for another shot at a trophy – they’ll be hosting their own Cav Classic this Thursday through Saturday. Four of the top-10 ranked AA teams in the province will be in the tournament, including Britannia.
