We hate to say we told you so. (Actually, we love it and it happens all too rarely). When City of North Vancouver council voted last year to extend the ban on smoking to 7.5 metres away from doors, windows and air intakes, we offered them praise.

North Vancouver - Dear Editor: I am writing to respond to a recent letter complaining about traffic circles and the redirection of the stop signs on the east side of Lower Lonsdale. Many people complain about the inefficiency of traffic circles.

Dear Editor: I was fortunate enough to live in North Vancouver for most of my teen and adult life but a recent trip back to the area shocked me as to how different it was 15 years later.

Dear Editor: Having read Mr. (Don) McPherson’s letter published on March 27, I disagree with some of his statements: “It is essential that people biking are separated from people walking. A cyclist travelling at 15 km/h is a danger to walkers.

“Loutet Farm is very important to me. I was born and raised in the community yet have never felt so connected, or like I had a place in the community until I began volunteering at the farm.

It’s not going to be pretty when the Big One hits.

Dear Editor: I was disappointed to read that Coun. Craig Keating has decided that a 50-metre pool on the North Shore is a B project based on the fact no one has “hassled him on the street.
