Dear Editor: In recent months I have read several letters written to your attention and published in the North Shore News that discuss Hollyburn Properties’ rental proposal at the corner of 13th Street and Lonsdale Avenue.

Dear Editor: Re: Oct. 16 Viewpoint MLAs MIA. MLAs MIA? That would be news to my organization and myself.

Trail users of all kinds have found themselves kicked out of paradise, with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. putting up No Trespassing signs around a 644-acre chunk of Seymour land that’s crisscrossed with popular trails.

Dear Editor: A big heartfelt thank-you to the people who checked in on me and helped me up after falling between uneven ground near the bus stop at Marine and Fell Avenue on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at about 6:15 p.m.

Dear Editor: Hats off to Jean-Pierre Blais who, as chairman of the CRTC, has taken a first step in his courageous stand against the giants of the telecommunications industry for their greedy and arrogant conduct.

What is WRONG with those people? I was speaking – in very rare CAPITAL LETTERS – of the Americans. But large issues call for large letters. About the U.S. presidential campaign? Good guess. But not so.

The wheels on the Blue Bus won’t be going round and round Monday unless the union representing its drivers and mechanics and the District of West Vancouver reach a deal over the weekend.

Dear Editor: Re: Fowl Play Can Lead to Deadly Results , Oct. 16 Laugh All You Want by Andy Prest. I had a belly laugh reading the column re: Thanksgiving turkeys this morning in the North Shore News.

Dear Editor: Hollyburn Properties Ltd. held an open house and a town hall earlier this year for its proposed development of a market rental building at the corner of Lonsdale and 13th Street.

The B.C. economy keeps chugging along and leads all provinces in terms of performance, but there is a dark cloud on the horizon that may change all that.
