Dear Editor: On Jan. 23 the News published a letter ( B-Line: Do Your Research Before Siding With Naysayers ) that referred to the “propaganda” and “misinformation” of the “naysayers” who oppose the proposed B-Line transit project.

Call it a gut feeling, but I think people were ready for a change. Canada’s new food guide was unveiled last week. It’s the first time the healthy eating manual has been significantly updated in more than a decade.

Dear Editor: TransLink would have us believe that reducing traffic lanes by 50 per cent and prohibiting left-hand turns [in Ambleside and Dundarave, to accommodate the Marine-Main B-Line] will miraculously improve all traffic flow.

Although his allegations about spending and workplace misconduct at the legislature have yet to be proven, Speaker Darryl Plecas is going to have a profound impact on the people’s house and the MLAs and table officers who work there.

Dear Editor: Your editorial on the speculation tax ( Vacancy Tax Welcome , Jan. 23) ignored the built-in inequities of the legislation. Here are two examples from a list of many: A person lives in Victoria but works in Vancouver three days a week.
