Dear Editor:
Much has been written and said about the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 118 assuming the leadership of the North Shore Canada Day parade.
It should be recognized that the previous committee worked very hard for many years on the parade and provided a great deal to the community. As their final contribution, they donated almost $8,000 in excess funds accrued over the years to two North Shore charitable organizations. Thank you so much for your past efforts.
