Dear Editor:
On Dec. 10, after coming home from a concert at St. Andrews United, I was devastated to find my snowflake brooch was no longer on my jacket.
While not valuable, the brooch had great sentimental value as it belonged to my late mother.
I emailed the church just in case someone turned it in, but did not have high hopes.
Lo and behold, three days later, we received a call from Susan at St. Andrews saying someone had found the brooch and we could pick it up.
I was stunned.
I called Pam, the wonderfully cheerful lady who found it.
She said when she saw it, it looked like it was well loved – and it is.
For Susan, who searched the church, and Pam, who found the brooch, my heartfelt thanks.
Your acts show us that in these days of me, me, me, there are still thoughtful and kind people out there.
Your kindness has been paid forward to others who I hope will benefit from your gracious act. Merry Christmas.
