Dear Editor:
As I go by that fresh new building underway on Marine Drive at 14th Street in West Vancouver I am struck by a comparison. This West Van building, about five storeys high, has been under construction for what – two years or more? The Empire State Building in New York City was built from zero to 102 storeys – and fully open for occupancy – in 13 months. In 1930.
