Dear Editor:

I am writing to say thank-you, to all the willing volunteers who have worked these past two weeks on lighting up Lynn Valley, to bring a sparkle into Lynn Valley’s COVID-19 Christmas.

There is our lovely old heritage Mollie Nye House on the left, as you enter Lynn Valley from the west, then the whimsical display also on the left in front of the fire hall, ending in the Avenue of Trees in the Village Square.

This magical display is because of all the willing people who volunteered their time. The merchants, in this time of extreme financial worry, still purchased a tree -- some of them two -- in order to donate to another organization struggling to stay afloat.

With the backdrop of our beautiful forest and snow-capped mountains, the spirit of Christmas is alive and well in Lynn Valley, not only along Lynn Valley Road, but also in the amazing displays in the side streets, of the residents, as they too get into the spirit.

As the song goes “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, Everywhere you go”… in Lynn Valley.
