Even the most surliest of Scrooges can admit there is nothing that brings joy like seeing a house decked out to the nines for the festive season.
Forget Whistler – with twinkling lights and blow-up Santa's adorning homes throughout North and West Vancouver, a tiki tour around the North Shore makes for a far easier, quicker and (most importantly) cheaper way to whisk the family off to a winter wonderland.
As with every year, the boundless local displays are matched with some official festive goings on from the likes of those at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, where the Christmas extravaganza that is Capilano Lights awaits, and Grouse Mountain, which has welcomed the return of its uber-festive Peak of Christmas event.
Community-driven displays in Dundarave, Lynn Valley Village and Edgemont Village are also bringing Christmas fairy-tale magic to local streets.
