Dear Editor:

I live in Grousewoods and drive up and down Nancy Greene Way near Capilano Road several times a week. The three-way stop at Capilano and Montroyal needs something done about motorists going both up and down Capilano Road not stopping for the stop sign.

Several times a week I see motorists sail right through and on a couple of occasions when driving down, stopping, and then attempting to turn left onto Montroyal. I have had to take evasive action as cars going up have not stopped. I suspect that the majority of these people are tourists heading up to or down from Grouse Mountain.

Something needs to be done to make the stop signs more visible, there is no wide white line at any of the stop signs. Perhaps if they painted S-T-O-P on the road that would help or is the district saving paint for bicycle lanes? I don’t want to say I told you so. Very concerned resident.
