Re: Fishing Debris Collected from Capilano, Sept. 12 news story.
Thank you for your article on debris in the river. It’s amazing and wonderful to read that there is a group out there who is making water safety a priority. Recognizing that the water safety that results from the volunteer cleanup effort helps all users of the river including humans as well as marine and other animal life.
Thank you to all the volunteers for their time in the Capilano River area. This article inspires hope for our local fishing hobbyists to find better ways to dispose of hooks, line and sinkers, and for the rest of us to be more mindful of how simple actions can impact environmental health. Thank you.
