Bravo, Paul Sullivan! There can be no better new year’s resolution than to commit oneself to becoming informed and engaged in local elections set for next Oct. 20. Election day is less than 10 months away. Now is the time to become knowledgeable about both the issues and those who would seek to serve on a municipal council or school board.
The increasingly serious challenges that confront our North Shore communities demand public participation in civic affairs more so than has been the case for a great many years. We profess to being a self-governing people. There is no better time to demonstrate belief in, and commitment to, this principle than during a local election campaign.
